Named Charter Member of Lawyer Sustainability Program
The Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Environmental and Energy Law Section named Attorney Brown one of nine, charter members of the Pennsylvania Lawyers United for Sustainability (PLUS) Program.
The PLUS Program encourages law firms to voluntarily commit to sustainable law practices in five areas:
- energy savings,
- paper reduction,
- recycling and waste reduction,
- transportation and
- sustainable purchasing.
Pennsylvania law firms can commit to the program by completing the pledge.
Attorney Brown’s efforts include: riding bicycle for local errands (post office and banking), sourcing office products from local companies, minimizing printing (PDF and electronic files instead), using sustainably-produced paper products, serving organic coffee, recycling, using energy efficient lighting, using energy efficient computing devices, maintaining office plants, and minimizing commuting. The other eight firms named charter members are Beane LLC, Cozen O’Connor, Fox Rothschild, JMT Law LLC, Pepper Hamilton, Saul Ewing, Widener University School of Law, and Wolford Law Firm.
